The Lazy Student
Narrated by Kassa Alamrew
There was once a lazy student who couldn’t understand simple maths. One day the teacher was discussing subtraction in the class. Now the student couldn’t understand, and the teacher started to give him an example.
He said, “Say you have five sheep in a campus. If one goes out through a hole, how many are you left with?”
The student said, “Sir, I will be left with none.”
The teacher lost his temper.
“How could you make a mistake like that?” he shouted.
The student replied crying, “Oh sir, oh sir, I know the character of sheep. If one goes, all the rest will follow.
And the teacher laughed and the class all laughed too.
