Kafa Zone
Stories were collected in Bonga in the Kafa region in February 2001 with the assistance of Yacob Woldemariam Dimeno and Tiringo Sigatu of the Regional Educational Bureau. The work of translating the stories from Amharic into English was done by Mesfin Habte-mariam. Imahoy Zewditu Wudineh One story in this small collection (Wisdom Rules) evokes the long history of Kafa and the peoples who co-existed under the rule of the kings. There is a notably strong vein of philosophy running through some of the narratives, as in Sorrow Ages Man and The Father's Will. Contents:
